Stenvak and the Taishi group
Stenvak sells Taishi® stone wool insulation outside China. The boards are made in China by the Taishi group, whose companies hold the certificates.

Stenvak handles the export of Taishi® Rock Wool: the quotation, the export documents, the loading at Qingdao and the papers each market asks for come from one team.
Every board is made in China by the Taishi group and sold under its Taishi® brand.
Authorisation
Stenvak is the authorized international distributor of Taishi® Rock Wool. Buyers sign their contract with Stenvak, not with the factory, and order at the factory rate. The quotation, the proforma invoice and the contract name the seller.

The factory
The Taishi group was founded in 2011 in Tai'an, Shandong. Its 6 production bases run 10 production lines with a combined annual capacity of 600,000 tonnes.

From rock to fibre
Basalt rock
Volcanic basalt is selected and crushed. The mineral chemistry of the rock is what gives stone wool its fire resistance and long-term stability.
Melted at 1500°C
Furnaces melt the crushed rock at around 1500°C, returning it to the molten state it once had as lava.
Spun into fibre
High-speed spinning wheels draw the melt into fine mineral fibres, which are bound, cured, and pressed into boards at the target density.
